Apt. 202

Next time you’re like, “Maaaan, I wish I lived in (insert name of metropolitan area), so I could hit up some chic city boutiques for unique holiday gifts,” spare you and yours the jibberjabber and head to stylish Ninth and Ninth instead.
The latest shop to improve on the already-impressive 900 South roster is Apt. 202. YHO stopped in yesterday morning … and afternoon, to be honest, and liked what we saw both times around. Apt. 202 is at once hip and classy, a nice mesh of youthful color and refined design, with a fun “Love Your Style” sign gracing the window display.

A higher-end boutique with prices ranging from $60 to $230, Apt. 202 carries pretty dresses and smart smocks from favorites like Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent, Rebecca Taylor, Woo, and BCBG, as well as pieces from many smaller not-so-recognizable-but-still-lovely lines. It’ll come in handy whether you’re just looking for something to keep you warm, or something that’ll make you look hot.
We swooned over two full walls of delicate jewelry that included hoops, bangles and pendants, as well as a nook dedicated to paperie products from shops like Papaya! and Good on Paper. We also got a crush on the little Esthex creatures lounging across the tabletops.

You’ll also see picture frames, candles, potions and lotions from Kobo, as well as tights, undies, embroidered hats, scarves and books. This address is a most welcome one. Don’t miss out on 202′s Holiday Gala, this Thursday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. You’ll get treats, drinks and 10 percent off.

I couldn’t wait until Thursday so I popped in this morning. What a cute place this is! They have some highly fashionable tops and sweaters. I especially liked the jacket selection. Also, I was excited to see the Papaya! card collection- they are out-of-this-world amazing. Stop by for a chocolate chip cookie and chat with the pleasant staff and you will become “family” at Apt. 202.

Agree with Laura- tried on the herringbone coat shown above 3 different times and finally purchased it. Great stuff and the owner is really helpful. I’m so happy to have this in my neighboorhood!
