Calling All Sleeping Beauties

For better or worse, most of us require some beauty sleep. But if that’s not possible, you could always try out Sleeping Beauty instead.
Granted, tights and tutus might not be your significant other’s thing. You can either work your powers of persuasion, or make it a night with the girls. Just be sure to pack the chocolate and some Kleenex as you celebrate the triumph of good or evil. Love conquers all! Again! (Sniff, sniff).
Dancers at Ballet West will present their take on The Sleeping Beauty February 9 through 17 at the Capitol Theatre. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. with Saturday matinees at 2:30 p.m. Tickets range from $17 to $55. We just hope Milleficent isn’t as scary as she is in the Disney classic. Otherwise, we might not be sleeping at all.

I convinced my husband to take me to the Swan Lake ballet, and we almost had to leave after Intermission… He wasn’t entertained, at all. So, needless to say, I’ll have to opt for a girl’s night for this.
Thanks for the suggestion!

This dancer is GORGEOUS. SLC is lucky to have such a sweet ballet in their small city.
