Two Dancing Cats

You’re needing a little something for your mother-in-law. A thank you gift for the lady who shared her knitting expertise with you. A birthday present for your favorite aunt. A token for your children’s favorite teacher. Where to go? What to do? We think we have just the place. Head to Two Dancing Cats.
This gift emporium, sitting where Millcreek meets Holladay, is named after two pals who decided to “dance” their way out of the corporate world and into their dream of boutique-ownership. The old-timey house where their store resides is packed to the brim (literally) with quality tokens and trinkets that are fun to pass along to friends and neighbors when special or not-so-special occasions arise.

The inventory isn’t necesarily trendy or young. Rather, at Two Dancing Cats you’ll find classics like tea cups adorned with ceramic flowers and aprons that look straight out of Provence. There are also baby gifts, unusual greeting cards, makeup bags sporting fashion silhouettes, both sleek and fancy jewelry boxes (along with all the jewelry to go inside), designer candles and lotions and soaps, as well as a room stuffed with savory treats like tea and lemon curd.
Some of our favorite items included Ugg-style slipper cowboy boots, miniature ice bags, crocheted baby slippers and glitzy bobbles for bottle-topping—many brought to you by local artists and artisans.

Thanks so much for posting this! This great boutique is only about a block away from me, but I’m always rushing by it on my way to pick up the kids from school. Thank you for giving me several great reasons to leave the house earlier and stop in.

I have always wondered what this place was- it looks so charming from the street… now I will finally go in!

Those boots look so cozy! Like the kind I’d want to wear while sitting in front of a warm fire and reading a good book. :”) Mmmm….

They are charming. I picked up some great dish towles, and mugs for grandma and aunt. Oh, and a crazy little cat ornament that only a cat lover would love.

I stopped in the other day after reading your entry, only to see that they were closing up. No problem! The owner was sweet enough to invite me in anyway and let me look around, and we had a nice chat. They have lots of lovely little things, I’ll be back next time I am in the area.
