Week Seven: Maintenance

total health and fitness

It was a rough week for my THF fitness plan. And not just because I pedaled away a few hours on the escalator machine at the gym. (And therefore caught up with many so-bad-they’re-good reality shows on cable television. Oh no they didn’t!).

I won’t bore you with the details (nor the scandalous lives of reality TV stars), I’ll just let you know that it was tough seven days. I miraculously completed all my workouts, but I fell off the horse a little when it came to diet. I was sorta forced to give into convenience. Temporarily.

The good news? I was better at making good dietary decisions on the fly. (Choosing the salad, not the burger. Wanting the salad, not the burger.) My lifestyle is evolving. Also, I didn’t lose any muscle or gain any fat.

The bad news? I didn’t see any improvements, either. I’m a goal-oriented person. I can’t help but wonder what might have happened if I had done just what my consultant Mike had recommended.

I guess it’s just proof positive that it’s my THF program that’s helping me see changes. Without THF, I can maintain. But with, I see results.

At the end of week seven, I have:

  • Lost .6 pounds
  • Lost 3.9% body fat
  • Decreased my fat mass by 3.98 pounds
  • Increased my lean mass by 3.98 pounds
