Sampled: Crown Burger

Sampled: Junior Crown Burger combo and cheeseburger combo … with onion rings.
Where: Crown Burger (3190 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City)
High & Low: This greasy burger meal hits the spot if you’re up for meeting your annual caloric intake in one swoop—and un-vegetarian. Even wrapped in paper, the classic Crown is a little too generous with its pastrami. It ain’t In-N-Out (what is?) as freshness is questionable and an attempt at any degree of healthiness is lacking. Still, Crown Burger has an appeal that surpasses its clean atmosphere and medieval decor. Sometimes it just tastes good. Like once a year.
How Much: About $6.75

Love this places, along with Orem’s Apollo Burger and Provo’s Burger Supreme. :) I believe they have the same owners/management…but not positive.

I just discovered EZ Takeout Burger on State St. in Orem, which I have to say is pretty doggone close to In-N-Out (hailing from Cali myself). It’s kind of freaky how much they are wannabes, but I’ll take it.

DUDE. You have to give Crown Burger some credit. In’n OUt isn’t the only burger worth eating, and there is room on this earth for the classic greasy goodness that is Crown Burger. Anything with pastrami on it is okay by me, esp. if it has that special sauce. Yowza.

I was happy to read Lily’s comment about EZ Take Out. My husband is the co-owner of EZ Take Out in Orem. Contact me–I’m sure he would love to treat one of my favorite blogs to a fresh burger and boysenberry shake.

“freshness is questionable?” Maybe if you ate there more than once a year, you’d realize just how fresh and great their food is!

I have to completely disagree on this one … in n out is the new mcdonald’s. If you want a real burger you go to a place like Crown, Apollo or B&D. That’s that…
