Check It Out

Twilight: It’s rumored that the Utahns were 10,000 strong for Jenny Lewis. See how they roll out for tonight’s show featuring The Black Keys and Human Highway at the Gallivan Center. Other listening options over the next seven days include The Fray, Tori Amos and Josh Ritter. More info via Lacey’s Music Guide.
She’s Crafty: Salt Lake City gets even craftier the first weekend in August for the first-ever Craft Lake City, a boutique extravaganza modeled after the Brooklyn/L.A/San Francisco/Chicag0 Renegade Craft Fair. Slated for August 8, the event touts street performers, vendor demonstrations and all the letterpressed books, silk-screened posters and hand-crocheted items you could ask for. Get the lowdown here.
Market Fresh: For a smaller take on a city farmer’s market, head to Provo’s Pioneer Park (on the corner of 100 South and 500 West) for the Provo Farmer’s Market. There are produce stands and craft booths to satiate any kind of hunger you might be having. Check it out any Saturday through October from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Secret Keeping: See photographs by Trevor Paglan, Patrick Nagatani and more when the UMFA puts on “Keeping Secrets,” a chilling collection exploring the Southwest’s deserts and their nuclear histories. Details here.
It’s Gallery Stroll time this Friday, too. See the lineup here.

OK I’m kind of freaking out because I thought M Ward was playing on the 23rd! Did they change it?
