Kaleidoscope Boutique

Look into a kaleidoscope and you’ll see a myriad of attractive images, where every flick of your wrist produces a fresh graphic design. Step into Kaleidoscope boutique in Orem’s Riverwoods and you’ll also see fresh design at every turn: from pretty smocks to smart purses to artisan jewelry, fragrant candles and colorful quilts—and all with an original classy-meets-kitschy vibe we are totally feelin’.
A friendly upscale boutique, Kaleidoscope carries some of the most unique and interesting products we’ve seen locally. We loved a set of embroidered Jonather Adler-esque state-themed pillows (of course Utah was our favorite though Wyoming definitely had game); a hutch spewing with hand-stitched dishtowels and itty bitty cake trays and teacups; dressforms clad in aprons crafted by local designers; and rich-smelling lotions and potions that always seemed to appear right under our noses.

This Kaleidoscope is an eclectic wonderland. Expect to see ’40s-reminiscent polka-dot dresses, zebra pinafores and empire-waisted frocks by the likes of Trashy Diva, Deborah Sweeney, Violette and Odd Molly. We were stunned by the specialty shoe collection that features pumps and wedges from lines like Poetic License, Klub Nico and Faryl Robin. (Sigh).

With a surprisingly vast collection of twee housewares, you can shop Kaleidoscope for a dainty wedding gift (or you can always turn to their sweet-and-sassy lingerie corner.) With a handful of little onesie-and-bootie ensembles, you could also pop by before the baby shower. But it’s the assortment of to-die-for dresses and smocks that you’ll want to shower yourself with.

I just discovered your blog last week thanks to Bluelines (the Blueprint mag blog) and have been tuning in while “working” ever since. Just so happens I’m slated to be in SLC for a wedding in the next month & also adore the looks of this place! Surely it’s going to be difficult to select from all these folks, but I’m glad I got in a comment before the cutoff!
